SEO Spam Email: Easy Ranking by SEO

Mac Miller | Business Development Manager

Normally I ‘play along’ but I’d already done some quick investigations and I so I thought I’d just send a cheeky reply and see what happens…

Hi Mac,

You really work for KPL Tech Solutions in Delhi don’t you?

We’ll see if I get a reply – I suspect I won’t! But I’ll update if I do…

Why did I reply like that? Well read on below.

Making the Connection

TL;DR – ‘Easy Ranking by SEO’ are the same company as KPL Tech Solutions another SEO spammer who we’ve dealt with in the past. [Edit April 2024: There’s also KPL Global Consulting who are part of the same group – and also send out SEO spam from emails.]

The first clue was the address in “Mac’s” (I’m 100% sure that’s not his real name, hence I left the full name in the email) footer. It was one in Fort Myers, Florida. But if you go to the Easy Ranking by SEO site, there’s an address for Delaware. This doubly rang my spammer detecting alarm bells.

Delaware isn’t exactly the biggest/most populous state in the USA, so I remembered that a spammer had used a Delaware address. So I actually did a search for Delaware on this site(!) and sure enough popped up my ‘review’ of KPL Tech Solutions from July 2021.

Reading it through and checking the KPL site, yep, both the Florida Address (on a College Campus) and the Delaware Address (in an office block used for virtual addresses) are identical.

What’s also identical between the sites are many of the video testimonials. Unlike on the KPL site, they aren’t using stolen photos for their written testimonials…

But let’s have a bit more of a look at the Easy Ranking by SEO site.

Looking at Their Site

With SEO spammers, I also like to look at their sites, to see if they practice what they preach (I mean would you trust a plumber who had leaking and rusty pipes all over their own house?!); and also to compare their site with a site they say they can help…

Their site is

For HTML Validation, their site has 5 errors and 29 warnings. That’s pretty impressive as SEO spammers go. But it’s really because they’re using Astra, a good quality WordPress theme on their site.

Using the ‘WAVE’ Accessibility Testing Tool, their site has 9 errors and 40 contrast errors – that’s not so good.

Using the Google Lighthouse speed test tool their site gets:

Performance: 42
Accessibility: 91
Best Practices: 75
SEO: 100

My site gets:

Performance: 35
Accessibility: 94
Best Practices: 92
SEO: 91

Theme handles the last three. They handle the first. Hmmmm.

There’s no alt text on their logo – that’s really not good. (And one of the things in the table on their spam was ‘Alt tag Optimization’ – shame they haven’t bothered to do it on their own site!)

There’s no privacy policy on their site – that’s against several international spam/privacy laws.

The site’s footer says they’ve been in business since 2014 (just like KPL) but their domain was registered in 2020 (a month after the KPL domain).

Although the Delaware address in the same, the phone number is different. It’s in Miami. That’s in Florida, but completely the other side of it to Fort Myers!

On their home page they says they’re the “USA #1 Digital Marketing & Web Designing Agency” and in the meta description “Looking for the best SEO services company in Florida?”. But only the Delaware address is on the Easy Ranking By SEO site!

And we know that Easy Ranking By SEO is really KPL Tech Solutions and that KPL Tech Solutions are in Delhi.

They have links to their profiles on TrustPilot and Sitejabber and they’ve got lots of 5* reviews. BUT – shall we say I’m not convinced of their veracity… ALL of the reviews on Sitejabber are left by reviewers with only one review. That seems, erm, unlikely. All but two of the reviews on TrustPilot are by ‘one reviewers’. The other two have left three reviews.

BUT one of these reviewers has also left a review for KPL(!) and a company called ‘Ranking By Google’. The other reviews also has three reviews, the other two being for ‘Ranking By Google’! So I looked at the ‘Ranking By Google’ reviews. They’re mostly one reviewers too. The only multiple reviewers are the two for Easy Ranking By SEO and one other who also left a review for…… KPL!!!

The actual ‘Ranking by Google’ site is a junk blog full of utterly nonsensical articles including ones titled “Barfing is discretionary, and passing gas empowered” and “Profound fakes might utilize new innovation, however they’re founded on an old thought” – REALLY! (Although the later sounds like the whole KPL way of getting reviews…)

Easy Ranking By SEO (and KPL Tech Solutions) are SEO spammers.

They also claim to be based in the USA, but seem confused about where. But of course, they’re not in the USA at all. (And if they were in the USA, their spam breaks the USA CAN-SPAM laws anyway.)

Reviews for them on review sites are ‘iffy’ at best.

So if Easy Ranking By SEO spam you, clicking the delete button is probably a good idea.

But, as ever, the choice is yours…
